Smoke by Kim Davies is a thrilling modern adaptation of Strindberg’s ground-breaking play, Miss Julie. The story takes place in a pre-‘Me Too’ New York City at a BDSM party. Julie s a privileged college drop-out dipping her toes into the world of S&M. John, is a cynical struggling artist willing to act as her guide. Their whirlwind encounter begins as a sexually charged game of cat & mouse, culminating in irreparable and unsettling consequences.

"You’re looking at me. All the time. What can I do, walk around with a T-shirt on like ''I'm Twelve, fuck off''? Flies is about girls being looked at by boys. It’s about hitting puberty and being smacked by the male gaze. The power and the shame, the pleasure and the fear that flies around your body when you’re constantly being looked at.
