Here you can find projects I've worked on outside of the professional industry - these include work experience (and shadowing), traineeships, and the projects I've been involved in while at university.
I am excited to be working with a wonderful team of my peers to put on a production of Grease, produced by the University of Surrey's Musical Theatre Society (MTSoc) and staged in the University Hall. In this role, I will be liaising between the production and creative team, and Surrey Stage Crew (who will be providing lighting and sound equipment and crew) in the organization of all technical elements. Designed by Lewis Downham.

I will be continuing my development in the role of Assistant Production Manager at GSA in the Spring Term as we work towards staging a production of Macbeth at The Bellairs Theatre. Designed by Phillippa Brocklehurst.

This was my first production at GSA, and I was fortunate enough to be able to take on my choice role of Assistant Production Manager. This was an incredible experience in learning the ins and outs of putting on a show in an educational setting, and getting to know the various HoDs, creative team, and other SM/technical students.​

Work Experience / James Cousins Company, Battersea Arts Centre
(Assisting Hannah Blamire)
This production holds a really special place in my heart, due to the sheer scale and challenges it offered. In this role, I assisted Hannah Blamire (Production Manager) in realizing the production, from fit-up to opening night. This production utilized all corners of the Battersea Arts Centre, bringing audiences into spaces they wouldn't normally venture into - it was a really exciting project both aesthetically and logistically.
HANSEL & GRETEL / Production Assistant / August 2021
Trainee / British Youth Opera, Opera Holland Park (Dir. Daisy Evans)
Over the summer, I worked on BYO's summer season production of Hansel & Gretel as a Production Assistant. This role included an incredibly varied range of responsibilities, including assisting the SM team in the rehearsal room, liaising with the company for marketing purposes, helping organize event logistics for entertaining donors, and even stepping in to film the show alongside the professional videographer.
SEA CHANGE / Assistant Production Manager / July 2021
Work Experience / Manchester International Festival, Deansgate
(Assisting Hannah Blamire)
This was my first project up North (!), and it was a really memorable one - in my role, I assisted Hannah Blamire (Production Manager) in organizing the Manchester International Festival's opening event, Sea Change. Choreographed by Boris Charmatz, the piece was rehearsed at Manchester arena and took place on a closed-down Deansgate. During the performance, I stepped in as an additional Stage Manager - this was a really interesting experience as it involved helping to cue community and professional performers in a public space, as well as manage health and safety incidents as they came up - including managing a large group of rowdy football fans!
CINDERELLA / Assistant Lighting Designer / June 2021

In this role, I assisted Charlie with the LX fit-up and programming for The Crescent's production of Cinderella.
NSDF 2021 / Management Team & Technical Support / April 2021
National Student Drama Festival, Online
As NSDF 2020's in-person event was canceled, I participated in the 2021 online event as a part of the Management Team, with a particular focus on facilitating the Technical program of online workshops. In this role, I was a point of contact for workshop leaders, and responsible for moderating and hosting the Zoom calls and collating audience questions.
#BEATHOME / Assistant Festival Producer / May 2020
Internship / BE FESTIVAL, Online
After volunteering for BE FESTIVAL's in-person event the year prior, I was successful in gaining an internship for the festival's online offering in 2020 as part of the University of Birmingham's Experience Arts internship scheme. This internship involved being a part of the festival production team in realizing the online workshops and performances - my responsibilities included inputting ideas and solutions, as well as moderating and running Zoom events during the festival.
OUR HOUSE: THE MADNESS MUSICAL / Stage Manager / May 2020
University of Birmingham Guild Musical Theatre Society (Dir. Alastair Winning)
This was a highlight of my university experience - although I had previously engaged with ASM roles in GMTG and various other societies, this was the largest and most ambitious production I was on a production team for. My role included being a point of contact for the company, running a backstage track (which included managing several complex quick changes) and problem-solving.
THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES / Assistant Lighting Designer / Feb 2020

This was my first ever external lighting role! In this role, I assisted Patrick by attending rehearsals, offering input on lighting design choices, being a pair of hands during the fit-up, programming, and operating some performances.
